TGIF!! TODAY WE ARE TALKING HOW YOU CAN GET STRONGER WITHOUT ADDING ANYMORE WEIGHT TO YOUR EXERCISES! 1) Add height / or a decline to your feet or hands. example: when doing a shoulder press.. place one foot on a step.. adding height and a less stable body position. like you are walking up the stairs carrying something.. make certain to switch your feet! Or.. if you can do a toe push-up.. place your feet on a small step to give you more of a decline challenge. 2) Do a 4 second pause before pressing, pulling or pushing back up! example.. on a seated row.. hold the end of the pullback position for 4 seconds before slowly releasing. Or.. when performing a squat hold your 90 degree squat position for 4 seconds before exploding back up! 3) Do some mini reps! Raise or lower an inch at a time for 4-5 reps then do a full repetition and repeat ! 4) Do some double pumping! example: on a pulldown /pullup at the start of the movement come up a quarter inch go back down and do your full rep .. do this for every rep! Have some fun with this! I know i do! for those in the Okanagan.. drive safe we had a lot of snow last night!!
