TGIFF, Facebook Family! Nancy is home and doing well, however, being hopped up on pain pills and lack of sleep has made her a regular chatterbox. LOL However, If I may, Id like to take a moment to honor a true classic that is celebrating its 75th anniversary. The Wizard of Oz is one of my favoriite films and one that Ive seen more than 3 times, LOL. Despite being panned as a stinkeroo by the critics, many production problems and not realizing a profit until its reissue in 1949, it has endured and become one of the best movies ever made in Hollywood. Synonymous with the movie is Dorothy played by Judy Garland. Another super talented individual, like Robin Williams who we lost way before her time. On June 22, 1969, Judy succumbed to her demons when an unintentional overdose of barbituates took her from us. Here she is singing the iconic song that, believe it or not, was nearly edited from the movie. Instead, it, too, endured and one an Oscar for the best song that year.
