THANK YOU FOR SHARING PEOPLE NEED TO COME TOGETHER AND BACK EACH OTHER the life of living with an addict.. I have been with my partner for 4 years and we have a beautiful little boy, the last 3 years have been absolutely hell.. I always thought when we had our little boy things would change but they got worse. since following this page and reading everyones stories, everytime I read one its like Im reading a story about my life.. I never knew that so many.people are going through or have been through the same thing. all those late nights stressing where my partner was, what he was doing, who he was with, I always felt so alone! Id bottle everything up and then just burst, i never spoke about it to anyone because people always judge!! it think if you havent gone through it or watched somebody you love go through it then you have no idea what it is like!! it is hell!! all the money that disappears, all the lying and sneaking around, all the times his missed with our son, our relationship was holding on by a thread. everyone always said to ms why are you still with him? why are you putting up with.all the shit? its because I know the person he is underneath all of it, I know the loving and caring partner he is, I know the fantastic dad he is to.our beautiful boy, and I have a lot of hope, I know he can get past it all and be better and I love him so I will support him all the way through, as hard as it is thats what you do for the people you love, so anybody else thats going through something similar, make sure you talk to someone about it, be open with it, dont bottle it up, you are not alone! even though it may feel like it I know for myself Ive lost all self esteem, comfort eating, weight gaining, anxiety, but everything we have gone through we always come out stronger and thats what gives me so much hope : )
