THANK YOU to everyone who made it out to the show last night! Here is a review from our friend, Jonathan Taylor: _____________________________________________________ Yawning Man played about a 45-55 minute set that was 3 songs - each of them long improvised jams. Mario and the new drummer were totally tight and in sync, playing some awesome beats and grooves - then into chaos - then resolving back into grooves. Gary was out in space, echoed and reverbed and creating these beautiful, dreamy, soaring leads and harmonies. It was fantastic. I like the cello too, at times giving great depth and kind of a nice droney edge for Gary to play over, but she was up just a little too high in the mix and the midrange of the cello was kind of obscuring Gary sometimes - something to watch out for in future shows. Its also good when she comes in for a bit but then also sits out a bit - creates more variety of timbre and mood. Anyway, they were awesome and I and the rest of the crowd loved it. ~Jonathan Taylor
