THANKYOU!!! THANKYOU!!! THANKYOU!!! WOW!!, ! what an absolute Cracker! we had at soulfusion last night Folks started arriving before we actually got there. which was a good indicator that a packer was in store! we were not disappointed. a real nice crowd in, lots of new folks some who had travelled long distances to be with us. lots of compliments about the venue and music choices throughout the three rooms on offer last night. great to see the re-installed Motown & Club Soul room being used with lots of folks listening and dancing to those classics served up by Don Palmer, Dean Carr Ken, and Paul. it was so well frequented we kept it open right to the end. The northern room was rammed from 9pm onwards and as I handed over to Jon Willis the floor was getting busy, thats how it stayed right till the end. Well done to Shane Kent on his debut at soulfusion. if you could bottle the atmosphere in that room you could capture the esscence of what a northern soul room is all about. Just ask Jerry Hipkiss!! well done to all the DJs in that room, you all raised the bar to produce something very special! The Modern room was slightly down on numbers probably due to the mecca revival going on, but still a great vibe going on and some quality tunes being played by Steve Aspey, Paul Garland and special guest Steve Lloyd, I had the easy job of finishing off the night in there and played a mixed set of anthems and new offerings. we have a loyal crowd who keep us inspired to push the scene forward and this from a DJs point of view is so refreshing. a few thankyous to all the folks who distribute flyers and spread the soulfusion gospel!!, also big thankyou to Sara Baker and Dean Carr for helping before and after the event also to Don & Liz for your constant support. a huge thankyou to Gina Wellings for her help and encouragement to continue with my DJing. she has asked me to thank you all for making her feel so welcome. she regards many of you as personal friends now. finally I would like to thank every single person that has spent their hard earned cash to get to soulfusion. we have regular folks that travel long distances to be with us plus lots of local support. you are all very special people. I have said it in the past and I will say it again now, as long as you keep coming I will keep putting soulfusion on. we ended this year in style last night and now go forward with a belter of an anniversary in store for January 17th. make sure you get there early as its gonna be a total packer!!!! sincere thanks from Neil & Gina
