You raise the question of where I am on the payroll of this online publication. The simple answer is that none of the writers are on the payroll. Contributing views on this platform is a selfless act. Knowledge after all is a valuable commodity that can be exchanged for value yet on this and other similar online platforms; citizen journalism and democracy is in evidence. A person who is confused or mischievous will always ask the wrong questions to score misplaced political points. I am not aware of any funds that I stole from the South African lottery let alone how conceivably an individual could achieve that feat. The Lottery is a juristic person that deal with other juristic persons in the discharge of its mandate. Accordingly, the only way a charge of theft can make legal sense if there was an burglary. If this was the case then you should state so. The Lottery is fairly capable of asserting its rights in a court of law without your assistance. Fortunately, South Africa is a constitutional state in which an allegation remains as such until a court of law has made a finding. Please let the public know if the allegations you peddle have been confirmed by a competent court of law. You also want to know where I am living. I believe that this has nothing to do with you. For your information, I live where I have always lived for the past 19 years. This is not the first time you wish to use this platform to pursue your own agendas. Since you obviously have an interest in the matter, one would have expected you to verify the facts with the alleged complaint and the relevant authorities before committing to a version. I am sure you will respect one of the fundamental tenets of the rule of law that one is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law. It is not for me to respond to your question as you are entitled as anyone to level allegations against anyone you may wish to. In this matter, it would appear that on the surface you have no discernible interest in my affairs but evidently you have chosen to take it upon yourself to be a proxy court of law before which I must pronounce an opinion that in any constitutional court must be reserved for an independent and impartial tribunal. All that I can say is that Zimbabwe is not alone in attempting to convert allegations into convictions without the benefit of allowing the constitutional limitations being allowed to take their course. I am sure you will agree with me that the South African authorities do not require either my or your assistance to respond to the question that you pose to the wrong person. I never laid charges against myself on the contrary the obligation to prove allegations is always vested with the accuser. The accused enjoys a fundamental right to remain silent to allow the accuser to have his day in court. By asking me to respond to allegations based on press publications is tantamount to giving credence to the actions of state actors who believe that they have no obligations to protect and promote the values enshrined in the constitution. I do hope that you can henceforth learn something about life and more importantly to respect the rights of others. Please be correctly informed before taking the cause of others as your own personal cause. No prejudice seems conceivable to you either way to allow you to become a judge in a cause that has nothing to do with you. It is important to appreciate the content and context of the allegations and the fact that the alleged prejudiced party was never and could never be a complainant against an individual hence the absurdity of the charges in the first place. Please do not be a vacuum cleaner in respect of everything written in the media for you have an obligation to apply your mind to go beyond the headlines. It is for this reason that in this article, I have sought to go beyond the headlines that Prof Moyo & Zhuwao have chosen to gag Mnangagwas supporters without explaining the reasons behind the spirited actions. You will appreciate that Zhuwao has made damning allegations against Mnangagwa yet would not want the allegations to be tested in a court of law. Equally, Mnangagwa in the face of the allegations is silent suggesting that the truth may very well offend the people who have peddled the lies that he was the driving force behind the SMM acquisition. I consider you to be my friend because as they say: May God protect me from my friends because I know who my enemies are, and in this case it would appear that you have an interest in my general welfare. Accordingly, you should give me permission to use the platform to exhaustively deal with all the matters including the allegations levelled against me in not only South Africa but Zimbabwe. You will appreciate that my response goes beyond the question raised by you. The truth of the matter is that I am also using this platform to put my version to assist future generations who may not have the same opportunity to dialogue with me to know the facts for facts will always be there no matter how we all may want them to be.
