BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH TEACHERS Read more below and then check out vTextbook for PLENTY more of where that came from! --------------------------------------- 1. Term 1 is all about settling in and becoming familiar with the rigours and expectations of year 12. Term 2 is all about PRACTICE and TRIAL AND ERROR. Use this term to fine tune your study techniques and to get in good habits. 2. Given the VCAA’s decision to remove mid year exams from the course a lot of pressure and thus incentive to study and learn has been removed from VCE students. Therefore, invest a little bit of time now in doing practice SACS or quizzes for each topic to give yourself a base understanding which you can launch from later in the year. 3. Your teachers are an invaluable resource that for the most part are willing to help anyone who is confident enough to ask. If you build relationships with teachers now by asking questions out of class time or doing something as simple as asking ‘how can I improve?’ it will show that you care. If someone believes that you are emotionally invested in your own work, they are much more likely to want you to succeed and to help you in the pursuit of success.
