THE AIM OF LEADERSHIP: Service to God through humanity is the major essence of leadership! There seem to be plethora of leadership disappointment in our contemporary time: people who serve lack selfless spirit and the culture of celebrating illegal wealth has left us in a serious decay. Leadership is a major viable instrument in the hand of a focused and determined leader. This is because leadership seems to be a universal concept that has gained global currency i.e, its meaning and its potency towards proper coordination of peoples common wealth. No doubt that in our contemporary society, especially in Nigeria state, we have misinformed our age about what leadership is all about both in the application and approach. We have engendered mendacity in the place of truth. A situation that points at our monumental failure as a nation or an organization: leadership aim is to integrate values! Zeroing into the lexicon of political science department of ESUT, we must appreciate some legacies as we propose our IMPACT DEAL. any leadership that lacks service lacks human face- political science must not let down this point because it factored in it, the point of service and the server, a matter of serious concern. As we about to break the proverbial edge, I propose a purposeful leadership with stunning qualities associated in it; this will grace and strengthen our value system in this department. We the students must as well imbibe leadership spirit...a height that could be attained not only in class lecture but through dialectical approach via seminars and symposiums that will feature erudite scholars and seasoned motivators. What a positive revolution! To this extent, we can accuse our public universities for sidelining our students. Yea! It seems from all indications that students are mutually excluded in the running of curriculum that affect them. This is the gap I must breach through all conventional means. Leadership without result leads to aggression and dissension in the polity. Dear friends, it is with pure intent and sincere heart I enjoy all the progressives to buy this product which I market to your conscience and emotions with a view to rediscover the place of students in the affairs of university and show forth in clean slate, the aim of leadership even at the micro level. I remain indebted to all the electorates as I pledge humility and a servant leadership disposition.
