THE ANOINTED HEALER In a world filled with ever increasing - TopicsExpress

THE ANOINTED HEALER In a world filled with ever increasing sickness and disease with an ever decreasing cures for anything, the world cries out for a Healer. I have worked within the medical healthcare community for 20 plus years and have seen my share of the sick and dying and dead. I have found that sickness and disease is no respecter of persons. The rich die, the poor die, the good die, and the bad die. As we lower people into the ground with a prayer and a hymn, we grasp at straws for explanations usually coming up with the short straw and the anguish of the cry of why on our lips. The answer streams through ancient times into these modern days, By His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5) This answer is either a lie, a deception, false hope or the only hope for a sick and dying world. As I write this I realized that everyone has an experience with someone not getting healed, someone passing away, some one who stood in faith only to be disappointed, but this still does not change the fact that Jesus is The Anointed Healer, and He is the same, yesterday, today, and yes, forever. (Hebrews 13:8) Please dont get me wrong. With all our advancement in medicine and treatment, many people have been helped to get relief from the ravages of the d-evil. Whoever did the research and development of a BC Powder, has my thanks and so does my head as my headaches are relieved. The ones who practice the healing arts from the chiropractor, to the nutritionist, to the massage therapist, to the acupuncturist, to anyone in holistic medicine to whoever brings relieve to a sick and dying people I thank the Lord for, but today I speak of The Anointed Healer. Anyone can die here they do it every day... It doesnt take much effort tho it goes against the grain. (Bruce Cockburn Night Train) As long as we live on planet earth, we will be going against the grain as sickness and dying are part of the process. When we press into the Lord and His Healing, we go against the grain of the oppression of the d-evil. ACTS 10:38 HEALING: iaomai (ee-ah-om-ahee)=Middle voice of apparently a primary verb; to cure (literally or figuratively): - heal, make whole. You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Ghost and Power and how He went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed by the d-evil, for God was with Him. (Acts 10:38) In the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John we see Jesus anointed for purpose. His purpose was according to I John 3:8 to destroy the works of the d-evil. We see Jesus manifesting, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10) In the 40 plus incidents of healing, they were all oppression by the d-evil not the blessing of God, not their cross to bear, and not the will of God. Jesus was anointed with yoke breaking, burden lifting, oppression removing, healing power of the Holy Ghost. (R.L.B.) ISAIAH 53:4-5 HEALED: râphâ râphâh (raw-faw, raw-faw)=A primitive root; properly to mend (by stitching), that is, (figuratively) to cure: - cure, (cause to) heal, physician, repair, X thoroughly, make whole. See H7503. Surely our griefs (sickness) He Himself bore, and our sorrows (pains) He carried, Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pieced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourgings/stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5) A vivid picture of the propitiation (satisfactory substitute) for our sins on the old rugged cross which is the solution for our sin sickness and our physical sickness. Healing was on the cross. Even though He died on the cross for our sins, we still have to accept, receive, appropriate it if we want to be saved. So it is with healing, it is there, but if you dont take the medicine we will still be sick. MATTHEW 8:14-18 HEALING: therapeuō (ther-ap-yoo-o)=From the same as G2324; to wait upon menially, that is, (figuratively) to adore (God), or (specifically) to relieve (of disease): - cure, heal, worship. And when He came out, He saw a great multitude, and felt compassion for them, and healed all heir sick. (Matthew 14:14) ...and healed all who were ill in order that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet (Isaiah 53:4-5) might be fulfilled, saying, He Himself took our infirmities and carried away our diseases. (Matthew 8:16-17; Isaiah 53:4-5) The ancient writings of a prophet speaks into the now of Jesus day and I believe reaches into the now of our day. Some say that the Isaiah passage only deals with our sins and does not deal with our physical sicknesses, but the Matthew 8 passage shows that He heals as easily as He forgives. As you read Matthew 8 you see Jesus putting an Isaiah 53 on: 1. Willing to cleanse a leapor 2. Ending the suffering and great pain of a Centurions servant 3. Removing the debilitating fever of Peters mother-in-law. 4. Demon possessed 5. Casting out spirits with a word 6. Healed ALL who were ill These are simply three verses about, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Someone may be asking, Rod, why are you spending time writing about this? Well, I am convinced that (1) People need the Lord (2) People need healing. I believe that me, myself and I (along with many others) needs to have their faith built up concerning HEALING and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Faith does not come by our failed experiences, circumstances, or situation. Renew your mind with the Word of God and Good Report on healing instead of the negative and bad report about how God does not heal or if He does heal it is a crap shoot, the luck of the draw, or His fickle will. r.l.b.
