THE APOSTLES’ CREED When our church building was completed in - TopicsExpress

THE APOSTLES’ CREED When our church building was completed in 1960, our architect, Mr. Oswald Thorsen, suggested we plan to add something to the side areas of our altar at a future date. From time to time this matter was a subject of discussion, but nothing concrete came of our talk. One reason for our waiting was the cost of having the symbols fabricated. Among the persons talking of it was Mr. Maurice Wilson. He was encouraged to use his talents in crafting to try making these symbols. He finally consented to do so if the designs were developed. We are pleased that he was able to complete these symbols and they were installed. The theme chosen for these symbols is the Apostles’ Creed. Since the Apostles’ Creed is the common confession of the Christian Church concerning the basic doctrines of our faith, these symbols will help to remind us of the faith we hold.
