THE ART OF WOODTURNING AT XYLEXPO 2014 Xylexpo is not only the best of the woodworking technology. The show will also give space to one of the most traditional and ancient activity for the creation of objects of art and for daily use. The art of woodturning is an activity mainly professional and secondly could be also considered an hobby with historical roots, distant but well-rooted in time, so to be practiced today with excellent results thanks to the help of machines and tools, more and more efficient; the association of the Aosta Valley Les Tourneurs de la basse vallée (tourneurs.it), the organization that brings together craftsman turners both professional and not, has the aim to promote and encourage in the territory the development of this ancient practice. The association with its turners will be present at Xylexpo, in the stand of the company Gamma Zinken (Hall 1, Stand C29/D29 ) for the whole period of the event; the trade operators who will visit the stand can attend theoretical and practical demonstrations related to craftsmanship and the most used working techniques, starting from the raw piece of wood to obtain a finished product.
