THE BALLOT OR THE BULLET * * * * * * This piece of write up has no connection whatsoever be it tagential, sectorial or a segmental section of the speech delivered by an African-American that goes by the name El Hadj Malik El Shabazz otherwise referred to as Malcolm X. There are predictions and prophesies of war outbreak with regards to the forthcoming general election and on the balance of probability or evidence, the prediction and prophesies seems to be pragmatic as acts are already being displayed to back it up. It was made public some few days ago that a renowned member of the erstwhile militant group in the Niger Delta purchased four warships with respect to the forthcoming election. At first i was bewildered while trying to decipher the role of warships in electioneering process but it later struck my thoughts that he might be preparing for war if the outcome of the election turned the table against his wish. Arms and ammunitions are being smuggled into the country in a mafian like manner with the help of a cleric. A denial or disclaimer was expected from such personality but he concurred to having a part to play in the influx of the arms and ammunitions into our dear country. 54 soldiers were being sentenced to death by firing squad just because they protested for lack of fighting equipments while a civilian keep acquiring warships in preparation for an imminent war outbreak yet he walks around freely on the streets without any move to checkmate or curtail this act of impunity. I do sigh whenever i took a deep thoughts at some things happening in these centurion era of ours; What shall it become of numerous men of valour that fought with their last drop of blood to keep this great nation of ours united till this very moment? Anarchy as an entity has eaten deep into our world that only those that make sure it thrives are the ones celebrated, honoured and recognized. All will be well.
