THE BOY, THE MAN, THE LEGEND: In the pit of a deadlocked NRL Grand Final it would take every inch of zip, nouse and skill from APISAI KOROISAU to break the deadlock and hand momentum to the Glory, Glory of South Sydney - The Mighty Rabbitohs. An explosive run by KOROISAU down the right flank, through a half break while grinding out 30 metres carrying two defenders stretched the massive Bulldogs past tired. A quick play the ball from him saw the next tackle centralise the attack just outside the opposition 22 - Theres the STEAK - now for the SIZZLE... API - THE MAN - would provide it. The Polar Bears - Graham and Tolman - had just managed to mark up as the ball was played to API KOROISAU. They are big men, with tired legs thought KELLY KOROISAU in the stands and at the same moment API KOROISAU took both Polar Bears to the right of the ruck and delivered a miracle pass back across the play the ball area to a barnstorming George Burgess. With lead in their legs the Antarctian markers stood no chance of defending to the right - there momentum was accelerating left and George Burgess only had a few of the little fellas to beat for the TRY! This is a Grand Final moment that HORNSBY RUGBY CLUB can be proud to have contributed to. KELLY KOROISAU - a Hornsby Lion ( RRRROOOAAARRRR! ) - father of THE MAN of the moment - APISAI KOROISAU - was a 1st Generation Fijian flyer for HORNSBY RUGBY CLUB. He is THE LEGEND SO WHOs THE BOY?: Along with API there is one other KOROISAU coming through the ranks - BATI KOROISAU - already a champion by the looks of the photo with The Kids Cup. These are the 2nd Generation footballers from the program that the HORNSBY RUGBY CLUB pioneered through Mr Ron Davidson, Mr Mark Fargas and many others all those years ago - This essentially embodies the spirit and ensures the success of the HORNSBY RUGBY CLUB across the generations and is our mantra for 2015 and beyond. CONFIRMED: KELLY, APISIA, BATI and family are our Special Guest for the LONG LUNCH on the 24th October at The Hornsby INN. We have Vince Sorrenti, Jeremy Paul and Jim Maxwell to do the hard work and we expect the Koriosaus can relax and enjoy a show on us for once. Be nice if all those wonderful Fijian families could send the Coach some nice young tough front rowers, flanks and fullbacks from time to time! The U19 is your team - take it - some great boys there already. CMON HORNSBY youngsters - fire up for 2015 - its your chance to impress - to shine - its the World Cup year!
