THE CD STORE Once there was a boy who was born with a disease that had no cure. He was 17 and could die at any moment. He always lived on his parents house, with his mother taking care of him constantly. One day, he decided to leave alone and, allowed by his mother, walked around his neighborhood, looking the stores and people passing by. When passing by a discs store, he noticed a girl, about of his age, that seemed to be made of love and beauty. It was love on the first sight. He opened the door and entered, not looking to anything else but his loved one. Getting closer timidly, he reached to the desk where she was. After seeing him, she smiled and asked if could help in something. It was the most beautiful smile he had ever seen, and the emotion was so big that he couldnt say he wanted to buy a CD. He grabbed the first one that he saw, not even looking who it was and said: - This one... - Do you want me to wrap it as a gift - asked the girl, smiling even more... She shaked his head in agreement and said: - Its for myself, but I would like you to wrap it. She left the desk and came back a little later, with the CD very well wrapped. He grabbed it and left, wanting to stay there, looking at that divine creature. From that day on, every afternoon he would come back to the store and by any CD. Every time the girl would leave the desk and come back with a gift more well done, that he would always store in his desk, never opening. He was in love, but was afraid of her reaction, and even though she would always receive him with a sweet smile, he felt like he couldnt ask her out and talk. He commented about this with his mother, and she encouraged him to ask her out. And then, one day, he got the courage and went to the store. Like every day, he would buy another CD, and she would go wrap it. And when she was not looking, he put a paper with his name and phone on the desk, and left the store in a hurry. A few days later, the phone rang and his mother answered. It was the girl, asking for him. The mother, crying, not even asking who it was, started to sob and said: - So you dont know? He passed away yesterday. A few days later, the mother entered his sons bedroom, to look his clothes and was surprised when she saw all the CDs, wrapped and stored in his desk. Being curious about it, she opened one of them, and by doing this, a little note fell on floor, where it said: - You are very nice, dont you want to ask me out? I would love it! Thrilled by it, she decided to open another CD, and another note fell saying the same. And all other CDs that she opened had a message of affection and hope for the boy. And so is life: Dont wait too long to tell someone special how you feel. You still have time....
