THE CHALLAGES BEFORE DR SHEM NUHU ZAGBAYI (SENATOR ELECT) & PDP. Indeed PDP won the senatorial bye-election with tears and in the hard way. What are the challenges before the winner:- 1. Dr. Shem, let me once again congratulate you for the hard earned victory. My dear Distinguish Senator, your image has been soil by your past performance, the challenge before you First, is to redeem your image and work assiduously to bring back the confidence the electorates had on you during your hay days. 2. The pattern of voting during the just concluded Senatorial bye-election clearly shows the direction of the electorates. Inspite the inducements, PDP found it difficult to convince voters. From every indication, the electorates have lost its confidence in PDP. The challenge before you is to bring back the lost glory if you can. 3. The last occupant of the office you are now priviledge to occupy late Senator Dahiru Awaisu Kuta (may his soul rest in peace) has left a big shoe for you to wear. How big is your foot. Thats another challenge for you. Late Dahiru has left his mark, how prepared are you to improve on his achievements. 4. From your assessement you can clear confirm that the electorates are yearning for a change, 2015 is going to be very very very challenging to PDP. How prepared are you for the task ahead. 5. Late Senator Dahiru Awaisu Kuta, embraced both Muslims and Christains alike. He didnt segregate. He was not tribalistic. As it is both the Gbagis, Hausas, Nupes, Ibos, Yorubas, all voted for you. Therefore, the challenge before you is how to harmonise and carry all along. Finally, as you ponder on these challenges, i ask Almighty Allah to direct your affairs and give you the wisdom to meet up with the demands and aspirations of your electorates.
