THE CHILD GREW MEMORY VERSE: And when the child was grown, it fell on a day,that he went out to his father to the reapers. 2 Kings 4:18 BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Matthew 14-16 As prophesied by the man of God, ten months later , the great Shunamite gave birth to a bouncing baby. 2 Kings 4:17 says and the woman concieved, and bare a son at the season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life. Do you know, everything God has said about your life will come to pass? Once the Word comes out, consider it done. Psalm 33:8-9 says let the earth fear the Lord: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded , and it stood fast. This woman nurtured her child and he began to grow. She fed him at the right time, gave him all the love and care, any mother would give to her child. Unknown to this woman, Heaven was keeping a record of this boy’s progress. The boy grew and grew, at a point, he became a teenager. 2 Kings 4:18 says And when the child was grown, it fell on a day,that he went out to his father to the reapers. That little boy grew up to become a useful lad, a son, the father could take with him to work i.e. farm. Are the things God gave to you growing? I do not know what He gave to you , it could be a ministry or a relationship, is it growing? God is interested in what becomes of that good ‘thing’ He gave to you. More importantly, He is interested in your life. Are you growing spiritually ? Jesus grew. Luke 2:52 says and Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. What He was able to do at the age of thirty, He could not do at the age of eighteen. This is an evidence that He grew. He grew in wisdom, are you growing in wisdom? He grew in favor with God, are you growing in favor with God? He grew in favor with man, is that your testimony too? Are you getting to know God day by day through the study of His word? The good thing He gave to you could be a spiritual gift. You can pray in the spirit, have you now grown to singing in the spirit? That gift of dreaming dreams, is it growing ? Can you now interpret dreams ? Joseph grew from a dreamer to an interpreter of dreams. Are you growing in grace? Is that grace to discern things before it happens growing? Is that gift of vision growing? Your children in the Lord, are they growing or becoming wayward? Your prayer life, is it growing? Can you now pray non stop for an hour? Friend, Heaven expects you to grow. The number of souls you bring to Christ yearly, as it increased? PONDER: Are you keeping proper records of your life?
