WHEN I READ THE ACCOUNT IN LUKE 19 I WONDERED WHY DID HE WANT TO SEE JESUS AND WHAT CAUSED HIM TO MAKE HASTE WHEN JESUS CALLED SO I WENT BACK TO LUKE 18 AND I FOUND THAT JESUS HAD DEALT WITH THE RICH YOUNG RULER THAT COULD NOT OBEY JESUS BECAUSE MONEY WAS HIS GOD THIS HAPPEN NEAR JERICHO. THEN JESUS TAUGHT THE TRUE RICHES AND THE GOSPEL TO THE 12 THAT WOULD LATER SET THEM FREE FROM THE LOVE OF MONEY. SO IN LUKE 19 ZACCHAEUS BECAUSE HE WAS SHORT RAN AHEAD AND CLIMBED IN A SYCOMORE TREE NOW THIS TREE HAS DEEP ROOTS IT GROWS FAST SO FAST THAT IT OFTEN SPLIT ON THE BOTTOM CAUSING IT TO BE HOLLOW THE BARK IS VERY HARD AND IS NOT PLIABLE WHICH RESULTS IN IT FLAKING OFF IN LARGE PARTS THE FRUIT IS IN THE FIG FAMILY BUT IT IS VERY BITTER AND SO THIS TREE SYMBOLIZED WHO ZACCHAEUS HAD BECOME BECAUSE OF THE LOVE OF MONEY (BITTER,HARD ON THE OUTSIDE BUT HOLLOW ON THE INSIDE,AND FLAKEY) BUT JESUS APPROACHED HIM WITH A INVITATION TO LIVE AGAIN TO BECOME WHAT HIS NAME MEANT (PURE AND RIGHTEOUS) HE WAS SO GLAD THAT JESUS WOULD WANTED TO COME AND LIVE WITH HIM THAT TRUE REPENTANCE TOOK PLACE IN HIS HEART LISTEN ( And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.)
