If I talk now, some funny people with see no evil, hear no evil and say no evil mindset will say why are you always insulting and abusing the government. The Senate investigation has revealed that the sum of 500billion naira of Subsidy Reinvestment & Empowerment Fund (SURE-P) is missing and unaccounted for. Those of us who were actively involved in the #OccupyNigeria Movement protesting against the abitrary increase in fuel price were called all manner of names by slaves in love with their chains. We insisted that there is nothing like fuel subsidy but subsidization of corruption. We had since been vindicated. Various probe reports validates our contentions against the removal of the so-called fuel subsidy. The price was eventually reduced to 97 naira per letter of PMS. How many fuel stations in Nigeria today sale PMS at the price of 97 naira? This government promised, vowed and covenanted that funds derived from the partial removal of subsidy will never, never be mismanaged, stolen or misappropiated. Today, one can hardly point at a project, programme or direct investment financed with SURE-P. Those ethnic jingoists and religious bigots who see me as an irrational and intemperate agitator will not see anything wrong with this latest scandal. They are voluntarily blind to truth. Jonathan is a failure, his administration is incurably corrupt. That is why 2015 should not be business as usual.
