THE CREATIVE SHOESHINE MAN...,............ To be a success, u must find imaginative ways to overcome some of the obstacles that u will be presented with. Youve got be to creative. Here is a story about a busy executive who was on his way to a meeting and was always rushing from one place to another. As he left his office he was approached by a shoeshine man who said, Hey, my man, youv got some crummy-looking shoes. Why dont u let me give you a shine? The businessman said, No. . . I dont have time. and every block for the next six blocks he was approached about a shoeshine and gave thesame answer, No.. . . I dont have time for a shoeshine. Well, at the seventh block he walked past a shoeshine stand and the man was counting: 97, 98, 99, 100. He then said, My friend, you look like a busy man so i apologize for the interruption. But today is my birthday and i made myself a promise that i would give a free shine to the one-hundredth person who came by my stand and u are that person. Please allow me the opportunity to give u a shine and honor my promise. So the businessman sat down and the shoe shiner went to work and worked diligently. He popped the cloth and worked so hard, he gave the busy executive a terrific shine, infact the shoes looked like they were brand new. As the businessman was preparing to leave he said, what is your regular fee? The shoeshine man said, five hundred, sir. The business man give him five thousand and said HAPPY BIRTHDAY. The shoes shiner stood there for a few minutes and was astonished. Friends this story simply shows that we must be creative and use our wits, because many times that will be all that we have. Be creative!
