THE Coach...Mr. Ken Schreiber.....SEVEN state titles.... NO class system, taking on EVERY high school in the state.....Think about that one, eh? In 38 years as head baseball coach at La Porte (Indiana) High School, Ken Schreiber won 1,010 games and lost only 217. He concluded his legendary career in 1998 ranked No. 4 alltime in baseball coaching victories, according to the National Federation High School National High School Sports Record Book. In those 38 years, Schreiber’s teams won 25 conference titles, and in the 31-year history of state championships in Indiana, his teams won 28 sectional championships, 18 regional titles and a record 7 state championships.
