THE DAGMAR PYTLICKOVA MURDER STILL HOLDS A MYSTERY News items reported the following: • Dagmar Pytlickova, 31, was killed by Jason Frandi, 43, near Waimate in May 2012, before Frandi also killed himself. • It’s also alleged that Frandi had admitted 12 years earlier that he planned to rape a young woman and then kill himself. • Frandi was arrested and told police he had intended taking the woman to a forestry block, having some fun with her, and then committing suicide. Here is what appears to be a mystery in this case: • One of the motorcyclists, Daryl MacDonald told Fairfax the body of the man looked to be in his late 30s or early 40s and was still warm when found, and the woman was some distance away from him. Did the bikers touch Dagmar Pytlickova’s body? Was it cold or also ‘still warm’? Unless Dagmar Pytlickova’s body was also ‘still warm’, a mystery is raised about Jason Frandi’s intention to make good of his promise to the police 12 years earlier. Jason Frandi’s mind-set was kind of attention-seeking as in telling the police he ‘had intended taking the woman to a forestry block, having some fun with her, and then committing suicide’. In this murder, the promised scenario was well set and executed. Jason Frandi had taken his victim out into the woods and killed her. And just as it was to be concluded- he committed suicide… However, if Dagmar Pytlickova’s body was cold, while Jason Frandi’s own was still warm, this would mean that Jason Frandi had killed the girl a long time before, and then waited to inflict likely fatal wounds on himself. Meanwhile Jason Frandi, a native of the Waimate area may have known that the bikers would be coming his way on that material day... Could it be possible that Jason Frandi had not really wanted to kill himself? Would it be possible that he had underestimated the self-inflicted wounds; or even that he might have counted on the bikers to find and save him before he bled to death? While it is appreciated that Jason Frandi was a victim of a troubled past, did Jason Frandi actually commit suicide after killing Dagmar Pytlickova, 31, near Waimate in May 2012, or was his death just before he was discovered by the bikers a grand plan gone horribly wrong? I must have missed this angle, if ever it was examined, not that it would have helped the outcome of the case; but rather, that law enforcement and the legal system should not be duped...
