THE DAILY CUD (January 27) HALAL-YAH YA’LL (Southern Praise) “Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 150:1) Yesterday’s Daily Cud was about having breath and utilizing that breath in celebratory praise. HALLELUJAH: PRAISE: hâlal (haw-lal)=A primitive root; to be clear (originally of sound, but usually of color); to shine; hence to make a show; to boast; and thus to be (clamorously) foolish; to rave; causatively to celebrate; also to stultify: - (make) boast (self), celebrate, commend, (deal, make), fool (-ish, -ly), glory, give [light], be (make, feign self) mad (against), give in marriage, [sing, be worthy of] praise, rage, renowned, shine. • To be clear • To shine • To make a show • To boast • To be clamorously foolish • To rave • To celebrate This is NOT some quiet emotion to lovingly praise Him…but it was wild and wooly expression of praise. There are times for the quiet emotion, but not with HALLAL-JAH (Praise the Lord). Here are some ways…to break the hold of the gravity of earthly things: • Praise the Lord (not your situation) • Praise God in His sanctuary (in His presence) • Praise Him in His mighty expanse (around the world) • Praise Him for His mighty deeds (things He has and is going to do) • Praise Him according to His great excellent greatness (not our feeble and mediocre not-so-greatness • Praise Him with trumpet sound (blown with breath) • Praise Him with harp and lyre (stringed instruments) • Praise Him with timbrel and dancing (finger popping and moving of the body in rhythmic patterns) • Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe (plucking and blowing) • Praise Him with loud cymbals (bang it out) • Praise Him with resounding cymbals (bang it out louder) • Let everything that has breath…praise the Lord. (Are ya breathin’? • Praise the Lord (Hallal-Jah) When a rocket tries to break free from the gravitational pull of earth it utilizes powerful booster rockets to propel the massive metal object into outer space. Sometimes…when we are held down by the things of this world…we need propulsion into the heavenly places…and it takes the HALLAL booster rockets to break free…where we can see differently. It is like the old song says…”turn your eyes upon Jesus… look full in His wonderful face…and the THINGS OF EARTH will grow STRANGELY DIM…in the LIGHT OF HIS GLORY AND GRACE.” Hallal-jah will help place you in this position…where you can get a Gods-Eye View. PRAYER: Father…I PRAISE YOU…cause…I am breathing. I will utilized any and everything I can to HALLAL-JAH you. In the name of Jesus…Amen!!!
