For over a year ago, a private driven online opinion poll,Delta Online Media Team a. k. a DOMETA, has indulged on the roles of Delta legislators who have the pains of their people in their hearts. As it is often said,a journey of a thousand miles, begins with a step.Thus,the above mentioned group has keenly followed the activities of all Delta representatives @ the various arms of law making in Nigeria. No thanks to the cold hands of death that snatched Senator Ewherido away. An Urhobo adage equally opined that wherever a big tree was taken of the ground,there is bound to be an emergence of another. This is why the vacuum left by Senator Ewherido was adequately filled with the replicas in the likes of Hon. Akpodiete Rufus Edoja,Olorogun John Obukowho Nani & our Delta North brother, Senator Ifanyi Author Okowa. True to talk,the trio are men of impeccable characters. Well learned & exposed. They are so loved by their people & in that direction,with a clear mandate of to whom much is given,much is expected. Their people elected them in their various places & they are equally asking them to do a second term or seek for a higher offices. A brief introductions of the trio, Hon Akpodiete Rufus Edoja,Rufi as he is mostly called by his admirers was elected in 2011 to represent the people of Ughelli North constituency 11 in the Delta State house of assembly. Since he was elected,he has never disappointed his constituents. Senator Ewherido is in a whole lot of joy @ the bossom of the lord, that he has bequeathed good characters in this up rising politician. Also, there is so much Joy in the PDP family especially in the hearts of the PDP Vice Chairman South,South, Sir,Steve Oru, Obarisi Ovie Omo Agege & Chief Austin Uloho that they have won an asset to the PDP family from that axis. No wonder all over Ughelli North,it is a onerous voice that he must go back for a 2nd term without hiccups. 2)Senator Dr. Ifanyi Author Okowa,he was a commissioner of health per excellence as @ when he served Delta in that capacity. Also,he was a former Secretary to the State government & has been a grass root politician. His attestation is what has earned him the Senator he is today. 3)Hon. Barr. John Obukowho Nani,he is the Ahwemutuwevwi (Philatropist) of Idjerhe Kingdom. A former president general of Idjerhe Kingdom whom served well & was asked to go for a higher office. Fortunately & being a grass root politician & a founding father of PDP in Ethiope west, In 2011,the pineapple hurricane that swept across Delta Central,could not take him off his feet. Because he was groundly rooted & was the only person who won with a PDP ticket from Delta central to the state house of Assembly. Special thanks to Chief Ighoyota Amori,Odidimadi,for being a good party man. In my words & i quotePDP dont play with the political lives of all that are mentioned here, including Governor Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan & his Deputy,Prof. Amos Agbe Utuama. They are great assets to the PDP family. A word is enough for the wise. Conclusively,hon Nanis person was put to test today as he buried his mother in a grand style @ Boboroku Jesse. It is a clear attestation thatwhat goes round,comes round. It was on that good note, that the high & mighty in the Delta political domain, fell upon each other to honour a man who knew his onions.
