THE DECISION OF A CHAMPION Think of the decisions you have made in the past. Were they decisions that actually benefitted your future? Deuteronomy 30:19-20, ”I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.” We should make sure to include God in our decision making if we do not want to end up in failure. Failure to put God where He belongs brings problems. God wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives; He wants to be the Landlord of our hearts and not the tenant. If you make Jesus the Centre of your whole world, you can never be disappointed. When you make Him the Boss, the CEO, the Director of all you do, you will become connected to the One who made you; then, you are wired in a unique way. How can you include God in your decision making? By taking God’s Word to heart and truly making it part of you. Then, it will by its very nature change you. And when it does, you will find yourself called to act with God, work with His projects, get His ideas, see life as He sees it and discover whom you are and your own real value. That is when you will see yourself as God sees you and get God’s opinion of yourself and others. Today, make the decision of a champion. I mean, make a decision that is rooted in God’s Word.
