THE EVERYDAYNESS OF YOU: So, it starts out slowly enough. You decide you want to see each other exclusively. And then, because of schedules and other busy-ness, you realize its kind of pain to always be there to let him into the house when he comes over, so oh-so nonchalantly you give him the keys to your house - you dont want to make a big deal out of it, you remember what happened last time. And he gives you a set to his house. You start working out together at each others gyms. And because lugging stuff back and forth is also a pain, little by little you have a duplicate set of every daily item you need - toothbrush, flip-flops, bathrobe - at his place, and he at yours. A year goes by. Then two. And it hits you - its no longer his place and Yours its OUR place. Our places. When you werent paying attention, you life became completely entwined with this other person. Sometimes you watch him sleep and think Who is this guy? I mean, REALLY? He has his secrets, like we all do - I suppose there is some part of ourselves that we need to save just for us. But still, he is part of your everydayness now. You like the weight of him in the bed and miss it when its absent, the way he smells, the way he breathes - it comforts you. There is a space he makes when hes not around to fill it. And then it hits - to really get to know someone, to really connect on a deep and meaningful level is a long, long journey, but you are happy and content because finally, you feel like you found the right person to go on that voyage with.........
