THE FATHER’S GENEROSITY - MATTHEW 7: 6 – 12 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: (v.7 KJV) The many challenges before us at times determine how we react or what we do. Wrong information or poor knowledge of the will of GOD do put us in some unpleasant circumstances and our actions or reactions when not in tune makes us suffer more. I asked myself what will make a person give what is precious or holy to dogs or swine knowing fully well that these creatures will trample on them and make them unholy. This makes me realize that some people are not worthy to receive some precious things for they will not handle these things properly. Think on this. This may be why some prayers seem not immediately answered but the Heavenly Father to whom the prayers are made is generous still. HE gave an open cheque to ask, seek and knock. HE is better than any earthly father. I come to realize that when the right thing is done at a time, one gets the desirable result. It is not every time in prayers that one ask, ask and ask. There is a time that seeking (GOD or HIS will) will be what is needed. And at other times it may be knocking on the needed door with the right material and pure motive. For Solomon, he knocked at the gate of wisdom and blessing with powerful burnt offerings at Gibeon. In his dream, GOD generously gave him an open cheque of request and there he (Solomon) demanded wisdom to administer his people well and he became the wisest of men (I Kings 3: 11 – 12). Your knocking today may be the sacrifice of praise and true worship of GOD. The generous FATHER knows what you need; when you ask rightly you will receive; when you seek righteously you will find and when you knock properly, it will be opened unto you. Be bold to make the right move now. May you find favour before God as you offer your prayers with faith and thanksgiving today.
