THE FIGHT FOR JUSTICE In 1974, the first time in September 1974, - TopicsExpress

THE FIGHT FOR JUSTICE In 1974, the first time in September 1974, because of the cause for Baling, the imprisonment, the conditions, it was not that difficult. But this time (1999-2004) it was a very challenging period personally, undergoing hardship, humiliation, very difficult, for my age and in my position. I was beaten, stripped naked, left like an animal, denied treatment. To describe it, it was banal, banalitic treatment. It is very difficut to understand how it could come to this. I had to endure, Azizah and the children had to endure. These were challenging and difficult times. ABIM was there to give help, assistance and confidence to me. The late al marhum Ustaz Fadhil Noor with his care and patience sacrificed much more for me than I could ever hope to do for him. The loss and departing of my mother, my elder brother, Ustaz Fadhil, Ustaz Niamat Yusof distressed me while I was in prison at the time. If I am asked of what does all of these mean or what is the wisdom of it all, Alhamdulillah - all praise to Allah because I am more conscious and more mature. I pledge to to do the utmost to fight for the cause of freedom, truth and justice. From a life of dining in palaces, to being thrown into a dungeon, bloodied, treated like an unwanted dog, I come out of it all without any vengefulness because we have to strive to do something to fight for the people, to uplift the wellbeing of the people here or anywhere else.
