THE FINAL STRETCH...NOT YOUR BAG BABY? YUM-YUM, The Power of the Bite featuring INTERNATIONAL TAPAS on Thursday, March 27, 6-8 pm at Nelsons Fine Art Center in downtown JCity. Final stretch for ticket sales... Goal is to have 200 sold. Restaurants need the head count by tomorrow, so order tickets today. Help spread the word! This event is more than just an event. 100% of the proceeds benefits local arts, encourages folks to embrace local restaurants/economy and continue building community. And, you get to hang with other foodies and art lovers. It is also an opportunity to release the artistic beast and introduce the 2-phase bicycle-inspired public art project. Phase 1 - a temporary work of art with the potential of traveling throughout JCity (prototype at Nelsons Fine Art Center). 10 bikes. 10 artists. Each Work Unique. And, Phase 2 - a permanent structure for The Tree Streets. I find many people who are dedicated to their causes. That is a good thing. If art or this event isnt your bag, than pick another bag. There are plenty of opportunities for you to reach out and make a difference. This event and programming incentive IS a social one versus financial. For the last 5 years, 100% of my time is donated for this project and for an annual show called Artlandia - An Arts and Crafts Peep show. It has brought pleasure - in my life - beyond words. Being connected to something I believe in strongly feels pretty darn good even when I get tossed around on this sometimes bumpy path. I am just scratching the surface. There is a bigger picture which begins in JCity and will branch out. Be a part of the story and support your local and regional arts community.
