THE FOLLOWING by Ena Ofugara I do not need to know what tomorrow holds Cos I know who holds my tomorrow As long as theres breath in me I know who Ill always follow Through lifes slippery floors and curved balls Through missed hits and embarrassing falls Through the bitter tears and damning sorrow I know who Ill always follow For I bless the lord, for every waking day even if it is merely to the drudgery of a working day Whether garbed in suit or a simple polo I know who I will always follow Though it seems I follow my own course A soldier with and without a cause You think I am far from the cross I know But indeed, I know who I always follow Yes through my every action, I write my own story And I hope ultimately it is to HIS glory I fill it up with joy and laughter, every line, every page every chapter Thes a reason the final gift from Jesus is The Comforter Not a critic, or judge but a supporter So whether I act sane or my usual kolo I know deep down, who I always will forever follow.
