THE GAME OF STAGNATED SOCCER PHILOSOPHY AND THE DYNAMIC SOCCER - TopicsExpress

THE GAME OF STAGNATED SOCCER PHILOSOPHY AND THE DYNAMIC SOCCER RESULTS. In every game, managers have to remain resolute with their plans and organisation as to how the games should go. Where there is no game plans, it is as good as the beginning of the team`s defeat. Even notable management theory, postulates that failure to plan entails planning to fail. It therefore behoves the manager or his able assistant to map out the lay-out, structure and organised strategy for the execution of the game. Undoubtedly, the least pronouncement one would like to hear from a player is they win because the players know what their manager wants them to do on the pitch. Our manager just tells our players, go out and enjoy your game. This word, uninteresting though, makes a whole lot of the difference in the field of play. The players feel they are to be watched from thence rather than receiving further instructions from their manager. Arsenal Football club has immensely benefited from Wenger’s time at the club ranging from new stadium, outstanding business philosophy, well run academy, etc. Benefits accruing according to the spectators and fans should be reciprocal, to the club and fans. The football fans admit the catalogue of items enumerated above, but are saddened by the football club Results. This is where Wenger has failed the fans in recent years. Wenger, without doubt has the desire to win trophies, however there is no lucid strategy to carry out this desire, those dreams and ambitions he nurses for Arsenal Football club, into realities or results. But why is this so? There are many postulations about the man - Wenger: he isn’t firm enough with his players, he doesn’t have ambition in the transfer window, he is stubborn and a dictator. It’s amazing that a manager could receive so much criticism after all his experience in the game of soccer and his accomplishments which many see as unrivalled. There is no doubt that whenever, Arsenal players step into a football pitch they have intimidating look at their opponents with superior technical skills and nothing more to back it up. In the event that anything goes slightly wrong, panic and insecurity sets in, follow by complete mental collapse; especially when they play against big teams. There has to be a plan of action for every game, even before the very blast of the first whistle for commencement. Such plans should include, how to reorganize when they are a goal down, what style to adopt, players` strengths and how to get the best out of them tactically. Paradoxically, the Blues` players possess such frightening confident look when they step into the field of play. Apparently assured that even if they don’t play to their best, the manager has prepared them not to lose the game and intermittently instructions would be passed to them. This approach to big games and the three characteristics relative to focus, motivation, ruthless intent are things so cherished that every Arsenal fan envies when they watch the game between the duo. Incidentally, every Blues run-up game, almost every football writer, pundit and analyst predict a Chelsea win. In fact, even the dogs on the street could have guessed appropriately that the Blues were hot favorites to beat their north London-based rivals. In 11 games against each other, Arsenal has never beaten Chelsea and the Blues have not lost to the Gunners since 2011, a run of six games. During that run however, Chelsea have scored 12 goals and conceded only two. This, of course, includes the 6-0 bashing at Stamford Bridge last March. Ask anyone to describe a Mourinho team and pragmatism, efficiency and organisation are sure to be the watch words. The same cannot be said of any Wenger team over the last decade. A quick look at the present Blues squad, showcases the best team, possessing the best defensive unit in the English Premier League, a midfield packed with skill, speed, guile, tenacity and the most lethal centre forward in England embroiled in Diego Costa. They are the ultimate Premier League predator and can beat teams in a multitude of fashions. Arsenal never really tried to expose Branislav Ivanovic or Cesar Azpilicueta on the flanks and, most certainly, never moved John Terry from his defensive high-ground at center-half. If anything, they capitulated in midfield like everyone thought they would and showed their former captain, Cesc Fabregas, why Chelsea is a club to identify with this season. Jose Mourinho has not only been crafted the Only One, but also a master at choosing the correct system of battle for the correct occasion. This should be the philosophy that yields the dynamic results.
