THE GRATEFUL DOG BAKERY HOSTS PACK WALK TO BENEFIT HOMELESS ANIMALS FROM RECENT MASSIVE RESCUE EFFORT! The Grateful Dog Bakery 440-353-1990 gratefuldogbakery Woofwalk & Cookout for Rescues Bradley Woods Pavilion, North Olmsted, OH June 29, 2013 6:00 pm In May of this year nine of our local rescues and two individuals stepped in and rescued 53 dogs and cats from a bad situation. None of these groups had room for so many, but they took them in because the need was so dire. Now they are struggling to pay vet and boarding bills while they find permanent homes for these animals. We would like to support these groups by raising some much needed funds with a Pack Walk and Cook Out on June 29, 2013 at 6pm. Partners with Paws of Lorain Co., Inc has offered to match 50% of what we raise with a donation of their own. The Pack Walk will start at the Bradley Woods Pavilion in North Olmsted at 6pm and follow the trail around the pond. Then join us at the Pavilion or at the nearby picnic tables for an all American Cook Out. We will have hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, everything you would expect at a cook out as well as treats for the pups! We are also having a Chinese Raffle with some great prizes! These items will be on display at the Bakery the week prior to the event so come on in and see what you would like to win! Tickets will be available at the Bakery as well as at the Pack Walk. (Need not be present to win) Please register by telephone at 440-353-1990. $15 per human/dog couple, $10 each additional person, $5 each additional dog. Funds will go to Friendship APL, Fido’s Companion, Ziggy’s Friends, Elite K911, Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary, Brown Dog Rescue, Love A Stray, Oasis, Second Hand Mutts and two independent rescuers.
