THE GREAT LAKE VICTORIA The Great Lake Victoria is The Greatest Water Body in the Tropics and in the Africa. In many part of East Africa, it was given various names given the Tribal and Cultural Significance that The Lake gave to communities it surrounds. In the Southern part of Kenya it was called by Luo Tribe as Nam Lolwe. In South Eastern Uganda it was called Nalubaale. However, the great part of the lake is in Tanganyika, now days known as Tanzania and it was called Nyanza. Therefore, The Great Lake of Africa has been called Victoria by a person who according to his limited knowledge by then He though he discovered it, forgetting that African Communities have been around the lake for million of years before He claim to discover it.
