THE HEART OF THE MATTER Trust in the LORD with all your HEART And do not lean on your own understanding.(Proverbs 3:5) Every mans way is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the HEARTS.(Proverbs 21:2) He who trusts in his own HEART is a fool, But he who walks wisely will be delivered. (Proverbs 28:26) The HEART is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it? (Jeremiah 17:9) Cast away from you all your transgressions which you have committed and make yourselves a new HEART and a new spirit! For why will you die, O house of Israel? (Ezekiel 18:31) Moreover, I will give you a new HEART and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the HEART of stone from your flesh and give you a HEART of flesh. Create in me a pure HEART, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalms 51:10) The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy HEART: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the HEART man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:8-10)
