THE HOSPITABLE MAN A hospitable man is he who ...enjoy having guests in his home, and he (must) loves what is good. He must live wisely and be just. He (must) lives a devout and disciplined life. (I) He...should be modest, just, holy, and keep himself from lusts. (II) The man...who is self-control ed, upright, holy and disciplined. (III) A lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate... (IV) TYPES OF HOSPITALITY (I) Hospitality as an eye service: Some of us know how to perfectly pretend that we have pleasure in what were doing. The will is not really there, we do it just to be seen by men. When we render any eye service; which may be through Hospitality or otherwise, the reward always and will always come very fast. I call this At The Moment Rewards With Zero Result Though the reward comes immediately, it has no impact (and that is, because youre not having the right mind-set concerning that which youre doing) (2) Hospitality; A Duty of the heart: when Hospitality. becomes a mans thirst, such a man receives his rewards in full, and also enjoys the benefits. Its good to let you know that so many of us are aware of the mind of God concerning some (specific) things, but we always find it difficult to do them, we find it difficult to operate under the laid-down rules of God. Dont be surprised! Some of us even preach this words, though we dont use them. The message being passed through you; by God Himself, to the people of God must have effect on your own life too ( if not at first ), being the carrier of the word of God. IF YOUR MESSAGE CAN CHANGE OTHER LIVES; WITH THE EXCEPTION OF YOURS, THAT MEANS, THAT YOUR LIFE IS WORTHLESS (Though, to you alone, because God valued your life so much; to have sent the word through you) HOSPITALITY AND FAITH Now the just shall live by faith; but if any man draw back, my soul have no pleasure in him. (V) But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition ; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. (VI) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, for by it the elders obtained a good report. (VII) ELDERS WHO OBTAINED A GOOD REPORT Here , we have examples of people (elders) who used Hospitality faithfully and had their rewards. (1) Abraham & Sarah: This couples love strangers; even angels. They were always in the business of caring for strangers, and one day...they entertained the angel of God. As a result of this, their story became a testimony of fruitfulness from barrenness. Glory be to God! (2) Lots Hospitality saved him from the divinely planned destruction at Sodom and Gomorrah. That suggest to you that even if your case is spiritually empowered (and not to be solved nor interfered with) because the angels of God or angels of darkness are involved in it, your simple Hospitality is enough to break the barrier and give you a victorious testimony. Summary: These people mentioned above and some few others (not mentioned here), either in the donkey years or this present days had their own rewards of a sincere from-the-heart Hospitality. So, you can have yours too; if you can start today, being hospitable, loving, caring to all men. In conclusion: If your Hospitality, coupled with love, self-control and holiness can meet with faith, then you are set to receive the unexpected miracle. BIBLE REFERENCE: I. Titus 1:8 NLT II.
