THE INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD #GODbreathed #Quick #Sharp #Sound !! #Potent #Unsurpassed #Intoxicating #Invigorating #Revamping !! #AweInspiringLIFEManual… #VERY_Up_To_Date_Than_Tomorrows_Newspaper ....OUCH! #TheHolyBIBLE : Its not that kinda book you love a part, and then, hate other parts... Or perhaps, tear off other parts that dont suit your depravity… nooo…. Its entirely flawless! Regardless how much you fight the truths in it! Sorry.. you cant even add to nor subtract from it!! Well, wondering who else loves *history* here? Very few, I’m almost sure! smh…. L Okayy, studying here and at same time, digging up some treasure chests too. About the Holy Bible, undoubtedly. Interested? Haha :D Certainly! The Bible is an extraordinary tome! Unquestionably the worlds all-time bestseller with countless millions of copies in print. Imagine, a single Bible distribution organization reported delivering over 627,000,000 Bibles worldwide in one year alone!! :O :O A compilation of 66 books, written by over 40 separate authors from a variety of backgrounds (from lowly peasants to noble kings), over a period of at least 1,600 years! The Bible was completed in its entirety nearly 2,000 years ago and stands today as the best-preserved literary work of all antiquity with over 24,000 ancient New Testament manuscripts discovered thus far. Not only does the Bible miraculously foretell the future, it also recounts the distant past with great accuracy. As such, archaeology has been a source of great vindication for the Bible. In Josh McDowells classic treatise on the historical evidences supporting the Bibles veracity, renowned archaeologist Nelson Glueck is quoted as saying, It may be stated categorically that no archaeological discovery has ever controverted a biblical reference. Oh-W-A-L-L-A!!!! It was absolutely given by THE inspiration of God; profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness!! (2 Timothy 3:16). Dramatically, when the Bible manuscripts are compared to other ancient writings, they stand alone as the best-preserved literary works of all antiquity. Remarkably, there are thousands of existing Old Testament manuscripts and fragments copied throughout the Middle East, Mediterranean and European regions that agree phenomenally with each other. The manuscript evidence for the New Testament is also dramatic too, with nearly 25,000 ancient manuscripts discovered and archived so far, at least 5,600 of which are copies and fragments in the original Greek. Interestingly, this manuscript evidence far surpasses the manuscript reliability of other ancient writings that folks trust as authentic. Look at Julius Caesars The Gallic Wars (10 manuscripts remain, with the earliest one dating to 1,000 years after the original autograph); Pliny the Youngers Natural History (7 manuscripts; 750 years elapsed); Thucydides History (8 manuscripts; 1,300 years elapsed); Herodotus History (8 manuscripts; 1,350 years elapsed); Plato (7 manuscripts; 1,300 years); and Tacitus Annals (20 manuscripts; 1,000 years). The Bible is found to be better preserved, by far, than other ancient works , such as Homer, Plato and Aristotle. As far as an interpretation of an interpolation of an oral tradition theory, it can be found that the Bible was not changed or interpreted from the ancient source texts. Biblical Prophecy is a strong evidence Christians hold to validate the Bibles claims of Divine inspiration. Is this authentic evidence or an illegitimate claim to bolster Christianity? Prophecy is defined as a Divine declaration of events yet to pass. As natural man was unable to foresee future events, prophecy is an acceptable evidence of Divine inspiration. The Bible, comprising of 66 books contain over 1,000 divinely inspired prophecies. Consider, for example, Ezekiels prophecies concerning Gods judgment against the ancient Phoenician capital of Tyre (Ezekiel, chapter 26). The prophecy states that Tyre would first be razed by Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar. Later, it would be utterly destroyed by a coalition of nations, flattened like the top of a rock, its ruins (and even its dust) scraped and thrown into the sea, becoming a place for fishermen to spread their nets. The surrounding nations would witness Tyres fate and surrender without a fight. Its a rather odd prophecy. But amazingly, the conditions of Ezekiels prophecy were fulfilled, even to the tiniest detail. Nebuchadnezzar sacked Tyre. Later, Alexander the Great led a coalition of nations against Tyre, demolished it, scraped it to bedrock and threw its ruins into the sea!! The ancient site became (and remains to this day) a place for local fishermen to spread their nets to dry. This also, is sooooo interesting- A most compelling Biblical Prophecy is found in Daniel, chapter 9, verse 25. Written 500 years before the birth of Jesus Christ (the oldest preserved copy dating 200 years before the birth of Christ), it foretells the very day Christ would enter Jerusalem. The prophecy states: 69 weeks of years (69 x 7 = 483 years) would pass from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem, until the coming of the Messiah. This is according to the Babylonian 360-day calendar, since Daniel was written in Babylon during the Jewish captivity after the fall of Jerusalem. Thus, 483 years x 360 days = 173,880 days. According to records found by Sir Henry Creswicke Rawlinson in the Shushan (Susa) Palace, and confirmed in Nehemiah 2:1, this decree was made on March 14th, 445 BC, by Artaxerxes Longimanus. Exactly 173,880 days later, on April 6th, 32 AD, Jesus Christ rode into Jerusalem upon a colt (fulfilling the prophecy in Zechariah 9:9). The world celebrates this day as Palm Sunday. Four days later, Christ was murdered upon the cross. Actually, the form of His execution and even His last words were foretold in Psalm 22. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday, fulfilling numerous other prophecies of our Messiah. Okayyy, these ones above are from way back!!! But how about the SIGNS of the end of age foretold by JESUS in Mathew 24? Seen them manifest yet?? Seen any at all??? Ooohh… Sweet Biblical Archaeology! Bible Archaeology often begins with the early cities of Abraham and the Patriarchs. Abrahams ancestral home of Ur, a powerful city-state of southern Mesopotamia, is mentioned four times in the Old Testament. Located in modern Iraq, Ur has been excavated on and off since the 1800s and has revealed a wealth of information about the pagan culture of Abrahams time. In Genesis 11:31, Abrahams father, Terah, moved his family north to Haran, an ancient city that exists in modern-day Turkey. Also found in that same area of Turkey are villages that still have the names of Abrahams grandfather and great grandfather, Nahor and Serug (Genesis 11:22). Bible Archaeology also includes the capital cities of the major ancient empires. For instance, the Hittite civilization is mentioned throughout the Old Testament as ruling the area of present-day Turkey, Syria and Lebanon, yet nothing was known of these people outside of the Bible. About 100 years ago, ancient Boghazkoy was discovered east of Ankara, Turkey, which revealed itself as the expansive capital city of the Hittite Empire. Since then, archaeologists have uncovered a wealth of information about the history, language and culture of a people considered imaginary to many scholars prior to that time. Babylon, the ancient capital of the Babylonian Empire, covers nearly 3,000 acres about 55 miles south of current-day Baghdad in Iraq. The ruins include the famous ziggurat structures (ex., the Tower of Babel), the Palace of King Nebuchadnezzar, and the enormous walls that measured 80 feet thick (wide enough to allow a four-horse chariot to turn). The Bible tells us that Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Jerusalem in 586 BC and exiled the Jews to Babylon for 70 years. The Philistines were known as one of the Sea Peoples that constantly warred against the Israelites for control of early Canaan. Mentioned over 200 times in the Old Testament, the Philistines had a major fortified seaport at Ashkelon on the Mediterranean Sea, which was discovered just north of present-day Gaza. Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Ashkelon in 604 BC, as predicted by Jeremiah and other prophets.! WhaOoooo….. gotta stop here for now. Or ya want some more? :O :O forreallll?? Now you gotta press on with some further digging, yourself :P :) Thanks for letting me share with you though J #HistoryOhHistory #HowiloveeeeTheInfallibleWordofGOD
