THE INNOCENT BLOOD It was not possible; leaving everything behind; and closing on to an unknown fate; precisely this i had been doing; particularly when i had been extra conscious; i tried to avoid repeating mistakes; i tried to shut myself on all the possibilities which led me out of myself; it was only me me and only me; every thing else existed because of me; i could not reconcile with the idea of letting it go nor accept the fate of a passive inactor; even though there was proof enough; i did not listen to logic; and sense swept out of my steps; i am still the wise man who swallowed poison; i was the innocent who was put on the cross; i have suffered whenever i let others hang me; is this the measure of wisdom to finally lip poison and be no more? gods! o helpless gods! when will you come to the rescue of the innocent? dr j.s. anand/all rights reserved; 2014
