THE INVITATION: - What if you recieved a big envelope saying You are invited to a life filled with misery, sorrow, worry, and confusion. Would any of you accept this invitation? I sure wouldnt! Instead I would seek a life that is filled with love, joy, and peace. A life that keeps me free from pain and all suffering of this world. Yet still, we all choose this kind of life without even knowing that we did. In doing so, our minds are at the enemys dispose and until we aknowledge this, the devil will attack our minds relentlessly. The devil uses every weapon at his disposal to attack our minds every single day of our lives. We are engaged in a warfare of the battlefield of our mind, and the only way we can fight these battles is by putting on the whole armor of God, and standing steadfast on the Word of God. Even if we win one battle, the war is not over because as long as we are alive, our minds will always be Satans battlefield and it is up to our faith in Christ to assist us in winning these battles. Most of my problems and im sure, your problems, lies within your thoughts. This is where the devil triumphs- by offering wrong thoughts to all of us. This is not new because as it was so in the days of Adam and Eves, so it is today. This is th technic that he used to decieve Eve in the garden of eden. (genesis 3:1) That was the very first attack on the human mind. Eve could have resisted the tempter but instead she gave in to his deception. This was the devils first attack which resulted in his first victory, but it will not remain this way always. If he hath said to Eve, Eat the fruit of this tree, woman, and you shall bring misery, anger, hatred, poverty, violence, and injustice into this world. Eve would have rebuked him and ran away. He only suceeded because he lied to her. He twisted the truth in such a way the it appealed to her, he phrased it in a way that made it sound good. That is always the appeal od satanic enticement. The temptation is not only the evil that we do, its the harm well cause or the injustice he will bring. The bait is that we will gain something from this, but its just not for our good. Even though Eve lost the first battle off the mind, we have continued to fight in this war since then. Because we have the power of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Ghost in our lives, we can win and the devil can keep on LOOSING!
