THE JOYFUL HEART In Galatians 6:9, we read: And let us not grow - TopicsExpress

THE JOYFUL HEART In Galatians 6:9, we read: And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Have you been weary? Really weary? I heard about a woman that was so weary she felf she had been ironing all day. With a cold iron. On a low ironing board. Standing in high heels. What a picture of weariness--and sadness. I believe that our Lord Jesus wants us to have a heart filled with joy. Dont get me wrong. There are many circumstances in our lives that cause pain and distress. But I have to remember the promises all through the scripture. Also consider what the Word says here about seasons. Everything has a season--seasons of which we are not in control. This winter proves that! We have seasons in our lives. Seasons of joy. Seasons of sadness. Seasons of loss. Seasons of pain. Always sprinkled with hope. For we know Him who is our Blessed Hope, our Lord Jesus. Now comes the hard part. The choice. I have to choose to praise Him during each season, knowing that He is in control and sits on the throne of Heaven. Easy? Not always. Lets be honest here. Much of the time, I have to push emotions aside and stick to the truth. I must choose by fact, not feelings. Kingdom Thinking. Choosing to believe with my heart and mind that the Lord Jesus loves me and will never leave or forsake me. For He, the Lord of the Harvest, who has promised is always faithful. Do you know Him? ~Marjorie Hill~
