THE LADY, HANNAH DOUNA, HAS RELEASED A STATEMENT ON HER FACEBOOK PAGE REGARDING THIS PICTURE. IN FAIRNESS TO HER, WE ARE PUBLISHING IT: To all my Facebook Friends and all, recently there was a photo circulated through the social media portraying myself and Mr. Sam Basil.To clear the air to all speculations that was brought about since the exposure of the photo I would like to comment and I hope you all will respect me in this way.Yes I had a relationship with him for three years and since him being elected as MP we agreed to discontinue our relationship in respect of the mandate that his people have given him.The photo that I took with his permission and collaged was my personal property and for my use only which I kept since the discontinuationof our relationship.Sometime ago my phone was stolen (persons known) and accessed my memory card that is how the picture was made public.I do feel that my privacy has been invaded by the circulation of the picture but I AM NOT ASHAMED BY IT.. Those were my past times..People should respect our past and concentrate on their own lives for once..With respect to the man I once loved before, his family and the people that he now represents.. I wish that the general public on social media respect this man and discontinue those childish postings.He has his family and his people to serve and look after and right now if anyone who thinks that the photo is in breach of any laws then please presentit to the rightful authorities otherwise please do the right thing and discontinue the accusations and show some respect.The differentiationbetween personal and public issues has since caught the authorities attention to regulate Social Media and this irresponsible act can further strain the freedom of social media we are enjoying at the moment.May God Bless you all and hope common sense prevails. --------------------------------
