THE LONGEST TEN SECONDS OF MY EX LIFE By Ivan Acosta September 11, 2013 NYC It was such a beautiful day. The Lady Liberty was shining more than ever. The ferry to Staten Island was crossing the busy New York bay waters. Ellis Island, ready to receive thausands of tourists. The water taxis navegating back and forth. Newyorkers were ready to go out to elect their new Mayor candidates. I was enjoying my coffee and looked out the window. The view from the 92 floor of the World Trade Center Has always been amazing. Looking up North of Manhattan. The pigeons and seagulls got away scared To make way for the big ugly bird that was coming down flying over the Hudson River. I will never forget my life on September 11, 2001. I saw trough the big window. It was coming very fast. I’ve never seeing a plane coming so low Aiming at our building. By the time I realized it was going to hit us We were already in flames. 8:45 AM My co workers, my computer, my desk, my family pictures, My phone, my shoes, my cup of coffee, my lottery tickets, My vitamins, my shout. My last hope. Everything was suddenly gone. Inferno without a notice. A Boing 767 with 92 passengers on board en route to Los Angeles from Boston, crashes into the north tower, My tower (1 WTC). I always thought how it would feel To be able to fly from the 92nd floor of the World Trade Center. And I did it. I flew away. I did it. It only took me Ten seconds. Ten seconds of forgiveness, Ten seconds of mistakes, Ten seconds of violence, Ten seconds of fear Ten seconds of memories, Ten seconds of sins, Ten seconds of singing, Ten seconds of healing, Ten seconds of sanity, Ten seconds of arts. Ten seconds of shouting to the world How much I loved life, how much I loved God. Only ten seconds to say goodbye. THE LONGEST TEN SECONDS OF MY EX LIFE.
