THE LOST TRADES FAIR - KYNETON The first Lost Trades Fair will feature traditional and rare trades - with traditional artists, crafters and skills being demonstrated and promoted over the weekend. We are excited to have committment from over 20 traditional tradespeople that will volunteer their weekend to teach, talk about and demonstrate their skills, crafts and trades in one of the most beautiful country towns in Victoria. We may not be able to demonstrate well digging or charcoal burning this first time round, but if you visit you will see trades including, chairmaking, coopering (barrellmaking), bucketmaking, letterpress printing, leather carving, french polishing, bootmaking, whipmaking, hedge laying, dry stone walling, stonemasonary, printmaking, spinning and weaving, ruch seat weaving and basketry, musical instrument making (guitars and ukeleles), locksmithing and toolmaking. The Fair will be held in the grounds of the Kyneton Museum on Piper Street (cnr Powlett Street) and entry will be a gold coin donation which will go towards funding next years Lost Trades Fair.
