~THE MANIFESTATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:~Pt.5 The Ninefold Fruit of The Spirit: Well, we have come to the final disposition of the The Fruit of The Spirit as listed in (Gal. 5:22-26). 9.Temperance: from the Gr. (enkrateia) meaning, self-control, a moderation in the indulgence of the appetites and passions. According to (Prov.23:1-3) When you sit to eat with a ruler or the upper class, consider diligently what is before you: And put a knife to your throat, IF you be a man given to appetite. In other words: eat moderately not appearing to have been starved at home. BE NOT desirous of his dainties: because they are or can be deceitful food. Consider Daniel, in (Dan.1:8) But Daniel PURPOSED in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the kings meat or food, nor with the WINE: from the Heb. (ya yin) to be fermented; which he drank. Now, to be BALANCED: Apostle Paul said in (Rom.13:14) I know, and am PERSUADED by The Lord Jesus, that there is NOTHING UNCLEAN of itself: BUT to him that ESTEEMETH any thing TO BE UNCLEAN, TO HIM it is unclean. In v.17. For The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE and JOY in union with The Holy Ghost. In v. 20. Because meat or food DESTROYS NOT The Work of God. All things INDEED are PURE; but it is evil for THAT MAN who eats with offense. All edible things are pure and lawful, but they become sinful to the man who eats with offense and with a defiled conscience. When erroneous, THE CONSCIENCE should be instructed, and won over through proper knowledge and TRUTH and NOT forced to do something contrary to its own knowledge and feelings regarding doubtful things. V.23 says: And he that doubts is damned if he eat, because he eats not of faith: because whatsoever is NOT of FAITH is SIN. According to (1Cor. 9:24-27) Do you not know that, they who run a race run all, but one receives the prize? So run, that you may obtain. And every person who strives for the mastery is TEMPERATE in ALL things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an INCORRUPTIBLE. V.27. But I keep my body and bring it into SUBJECTION: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway, literally REJECTED of God. Listen: You must keep the BODY as a slave to the SOUL, not permitting the SOUL (your mind, emotion and will) to be the slave of the BODY. Paul did this CONSTANTLY lest after he had preached to others, he would become a castaway . Finally in (Gal.5:23) Paul says against such, The Fruit of The Spirit there is NO LAW. If you seriously study and meditate on these lessons on The Works of The Flesh and The Fruit of The Spirit you will truly MAINTAIN and KNOW HOW TO HOLD ON TO YOUR DELIVERANCE. Love You All.
