THE MARATHON THAT WAS HELD THIS PAST SATURDAY, DID MORE DEVISTATION TO THE CITY AND MYSELF THAN IT DID GOOD!!!! PLEASE CONTINUE READING.... I am a heart patient and should not walk any farther than I have too. It being the first of the month and payday for many of us retired and disabled, we have things to do on Saturday. This stupid marathon inconvienenced more people than it helped. The busses were unable to make the usual loop and were made to park sooo far away from downtown and made many of us walk farther than necessary. I found many of the runners to be rude, and act as if they owned the public streets. I was made to walk 3 blocks to the nearest bus stop to get only 1/2 way downtown, then on my way to the metro store, because of all the excess walking and being yelled at and trompbled by the runners and hit, I passed out at the Ramada on Ohio Street having had a mild heart attack and had to be taken to the hospital. Enroute to the hospital the ambulance was rerouted and denied axcess to the hospital because of the marathon............how rude.......I could have died had it been more serious than what it was. I believe I am owed an apology and reimbursement from the marathon promoters and monies for pain and suffering and I hope the mayor, the governor and a good lawyer see this( especially one that would like to take my case)....there are other and better places to run rather than down the middle of a public street. remember our parents always told us not to play in the streets!!!!! And this is why!!!!! STILL SORE AND ANGRY IN INDY-ANA-NO-PLACE!!!!!
