A GLORIOUS AND GRACIOUS INTRODUCTION TO THE GOD OF BETHEL! 2 Kings 2:2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel. We cannot rush through over such a passage which is pregnant with divine blessings. May the Lord open our eyes so that we may partake of the divine bread he has prepared for us in Jesus Name. Blessed are your ears for the things you are about to hear. Your life will never be the same after this message in Jesus Name. It is a prophetic teaching that will change everything about you. May the Lord give you the grace to believe what you are about to hear in Jesus name. It does not matter who you are, a Christian or sinner, backslider or hypocrite, pastor or member; you are in for a big surprise to day. I have prayed for you and God has already answered! THE OLD JACOB AND HIS MEMORABLE BETHEL ENCOUNTER! Genesis 28:10-11 10 And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran. 11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. He had just stolen the brother’s birthright, deceived the father and agreed with the mother in deception. He was running away and thank God for Bethel! God will always call you to take a rest at Bethel because there is something God for you. I pray that God will make this page a Bethel for millions of souls in Jesus name. BETHEL IS CALLING EVERY SINNER TO PASS BY THERE! There is no better place a sinner will find himself or herself other than Bethel. Come with all your sins like the Jacob of old and you will find forgiveness and peace within! JESUS THE ROCK OF BETHEL AWAITS YOU MY FRIEND! Genesis 28:11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. Jacob did not have a pillow and out of the many rocks in that place, he chose a rock that could suite to be a pillow. Thank God for that rock and this Rock is Jesus! Genesis 28:18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. Genesis 28:22 And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be Gods house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee. Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. John 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man. Jacob dreamed with head on that stone about a ladder connecting heaven and earth and angels ascending and descending. The new Testament make us to understand that that the ladder is the son of man. The ladder is connected to the rock. Without Christ you cannot make it to heaven. Have you received him as your Lord? Bethel is calling you today! GOD UNPACKS YOUR WHOLE FUTURE IN A CLEAR VOICE AT BETHEL! Genesis 28:13-15 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; 14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. 15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. OUR IGNORANCE OF GOD IS SORTED OUT AT BETHEL! Genesis 28:16-19 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. 17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. 18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. 19 And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first. Jacob for the first time understood what God’s presence means and he also come to know what the house of God looks like. There was no building but he knew that this was the house of God. What can you do without Bethel! GODLY DESIRES CONCERNING OUR WANTS AND NEEDS ARE EXPRESSED TO GOD AT BETHEL! Genesis 28:20 And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on Jacob had four things he wanted God to do for him! 1. If God will be with me! With what he saw in the dream, he realized that life without God is a shattered dream and so he wanted the presence of God to go with him. My friend how do you think you can manage life without God? Your education alone will not make it neither you social staus, you need God. 2. ..and will keep me in this way that I go! This was very crucial for Jacob. He committed the entire future and career in to God’s hand. May I ask you my friend: Is God who is keeping you in that way immorality? Is it God keeping you in that way of smoking which has destroyed all your lungs and cancer is dragging you to the grave helplessly? Is it God keeping you in that way of witchcraft and Satanism? Today God need your life. Let us arise and go to bethel! 3. …and will give me bread to eat! God is a provider of our daily provisions, food in particular. Can you in all honest claim that all those things entering your body through your mouth are provided by God? How about the liquor that has destroyed your liver and now you are near the grave at such a tender age? God will provide the right food to eat and not to destroy you! 4. ….and raiment to put on! Did you hear what Jacob said? Raiment to put on. My dear brothers and sisters, I want us to do something with this message! Get to your wardrobe and unpack all your clothers and then one by one say that God thank you for this particular garment that you gave me. Are you sure you can bodly tell God that he gave you every garment you have? Sisters can you boldly tell God that those short skirts and those shirts that expose your breasts were given to you by God? After you have finished with the prayer, ask yourself when you last put on those clothes. If there are clothes that you have not put on the whole year, ask yourself if you have brotherly love? Bethel is coming to your life. God will give us garment to put on and not decorate our wardrobes in Jesus name. AT BETHEL WE MAKE PERSONAL DECLARATION TO BELONG TO GOD! Genesis 28:21 So that I come again to my fathers house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God: Jacob had know God as the God of his parents and now this God has to become his God. Children, you are not born as Christian and you need to make a personal declaration Genesis 28:13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; See what followed in later years: Exodus 3:15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. God became the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Bethel will do it for you and me in Jesus Name. The God of the Hebrews will become our God in Jesus Name. The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ will become our God. Praise the Lord and thank God for Bethel! WILLING VOWS ARE BORN AT BETHEL WITHOUT ANYONE FORCING US! Genesis 28:13 And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be Gods house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee. Giving will never be a burden to you and me. Those of you are busy feasting on the tithes its because you have never been to Bethel and I bring Bethel to you today by the Spirit of God in Jesus. Correct your life and all shall be well. You can imagine that I had a robbery on two occasions and instruments the laptops I use to send messages to all of you were stolen and yet not a single person ever thought of how to help get a replacement. I still use the internet cafe and if you have noticed that is why I cannot post early in the morning but its okay for. I will serve God under any condition without excuse. But once you get to Bethel you will see the need to support the work of God in Jesus Name. God bless you.
