THE MEANING AND THE DESCRIPTION OF HELL FIRE - PART 5 THE MEANING OF HELL * HELL - A PLACE OF UNQUENCHABLE FIRE (CONTINUATION) The following warnings given to the children of Israel is still very relevant today. Nobody should take the Word of God for granted. Nobody should behave as if he can escape the hell fire without even completely obey the Word of God. Deuteronomy 29vs18-23: So that there may not be among you man or woman or family or tribe, whose heart turns away today from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations, and that there may not be among you a root bearing bitterness or wormwood; 19 and so it may not happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he blesses himself in his heart, saying, ‘I shall have peace, even though I follow the dictates of my heart’—as though the drunkard could be included with the sober. 20 “The Lord would not spare him; for then the anger of the Lord and His jealousy would burn against that man, and every curse that is written in this book would settle on him, and the Lord would blot out his name from under heaven. 21 And the Lord would separate him from all the tribes of Israel for adversity, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this Book of the Law, 22 so that the coming generation of your children who rise up after you, and the foreigner who comes from a far land, would say, when they see the plagues of that land and the sicknesses which the Lord has laid on it: 23 ‘The whole land is brimstone, salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and His wrath. THE HOLY BIBLE TEACHES THAT GOD CANNOT CHANGE. HE IS IMMUTABLE. First, God is immutable in His essence. His nature and being are infinite, and so, subject to no mutations. Secondly, God is immutable in His attributes. Whatever the attributes of God were before the universe was called into existence, they are precisely the same now, and will remain so forever. Necessarily so; for they are the very perfections, the essential qualities of His being. Thirdly, God is immutable in His counsel. His will never varies. Perhaps some are ready to object that we ought to read the following: And it repented the Lord that He had made man (Gen. 6:6). Malachi 3vs6a: For I am the Lord, I do not change. Isaiah 44vs6: Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God. Hebrews 13vs8: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Psalm 90vs2: Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. Psalm 102vs27: But You are the same, and Your years will have no end. Isaiah 41vs4: Who has performed and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? ‘I, the Lord, am the first; And with the last I am He.’” HELL IS EXTREMELY UNBEARABLE! THE ONLY WAY TO ESCAPE THE TORMENTS OF HELL IS TO CONFESS, REPENT OF ALL YOUR SINS AND BE CONVERTED BY ACCEPTING JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND PERSONAL SAVIOR NOW! IF YOU HAVE BACKSLID, RE-DEDICATE YOUR LIFE TO GOD NOW! BECAUSE THE NEXT MOMENT MAY BE TOO LATE FOR YOU! .....TO BE CONTINUED.
