THE MOMENT! The moment when you lay eyes on the one person you have anxiously waited months to meet! The moment your heart feels that it dropped to your gut as the polite professionally trained doctor begins to say words that are foreign to your vocabulary. The moment you hear the one you are waiting to hold will be traveling on a plane for immediate surgery. The moment you realize how grateful you are to live in a country that has the capability to save your child due to gifted nurses, educated doctors and advanced medical equipment. The moment you realize your blessings WILL come with trials. The moment you realize we serve a God full of mercy and grace. The moment you realize that God is doing SO much at that very moment as He shapes and molds you. The moment you realize you need God more than ever during the moments that are less than desirable. We found ourselves desiring an indescribable closeness to our Lord during this very moment as Channing was being prepped for her flight. The moment you realize God IS ALWAYS AT WORK! 365 days later and we still are desiring that closeness.
