THE MORNING AFTER*** Most religions teach about love and co-existence and they urge followers to practice these. We preach about love and kindness but most times when it comes to living by what we preach we often forget. Sometimes we do not realize that the concept of love in most religion is about what you do and not just about what you know. Love is a verb and not a noun. If as a Christian my love stops at the corridors of my fellow Christians, then I dont even know what love is. If I nurture hate in my heart to the people of other religion because they have not come to know Christ or accept Him as their saviour, then how do I convince them they God loves them and Christ died for them? If as a person, I nurture hate in my heart because of clash of opinions and ideas about religions, politics, social life and all what not, how do I portray myself as someone who know God or who has a religion? Most often we find ourselves so intolerant of other religions. We hate to hear their views even in non-religious matters. We claim to know God better than they do but forgot that God is Love. We often forget that God send His rain and sunshine upon the righteous and the wicked. We often forget that God make use of both the righteous and the unrighteousness to accomplish His purposes and plans. We discriminate instead of showing love. We divide people instead of unite them with love. We forget that the best way to win others is through the genuine love of God which was exemplified by Christ. For whoever does not love has not know Him, for God is love Our knowledge of God can only be displayed with the level of love and tolerance we have for others. When you hate other tribes or race simply because they are not part of you, yet you take to the street or social media to talk about love, you are an hypocrite. For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten son... He love the world, that is, both the righteous and the unrighteous. He simply love the whole world because, that is His nature -Love.
