THE MOST FUN IN THE LEAST TIME! So far you have had to find other users in a variety of ways before you can shake paws, at best opening new tabs and shaking paws, then closing them. Its over. About six years ago, when playing fluff, I realised it was possible to do things a lot faster and simpler than that, but only now that shake paws is working have I been able to make this work for you. There is a lot of new content, but it all amounts to one idea: click a button to put a list of icons into the toolbar. Click on the icons in the toolbar to visit a page. Every time you visit a page, the corresponding icon disappears from the toolbar. Rinse and repeat until there are none left. You click once to visit a page, you click once to shake paws, and the rest of your five seconds is spent looking at the users page, not at a petting list you have to bounce on and off, or closing multiple tabs. Theres no need. There are now four places you can get various different lists into the toolbar. Ill try to be brief. Look at the inventory page, cards tab. You will now see two up arrows and some little check boxes beneath them. The check boxes are Show repeats and Shook their paws today. Even without the toolbar, these will change your life, because leaving them blank will mean the on-page lists of shaken paws will no longer contain any user more than once, and not one of the users you have already shaken paws with. You will see the least details necessary to shake paws with everyone who has shaken paws with you, so you need never visit anyone twice or get a you already shook paws ever again, as long as you use this system. But if you want to see the complete record of who shook paws and when, check those two little boxes, click on reload and you can see everything. The choice is yours. When youve done playing with those check boxes, click one of those up arrows. All of a sudden your toolbar is alive with the icons of those who you need to shake paws with. Click on one of the toolbar icons and youll go straight to the page of the associated user. Their icon is no longer in the toolbar. Shake paws, move on. But thats just the beginning, Go to the edit friends page and youll find that you can now load all of your friends to the toolbar in one go with the central up arrow, or you can load different KINDS of friends, one section at a time, using the penguin icons to the left. Hover and see what they say, then try some clicking. (On the right are penguin icons which will load the page but not the toolbar with different kinds of friends; thats another little improvement). Try the new users tab on the edit friends page and youll see that you can now put all of them into the toolbar at once, again with options to remove those you may have already shaken paws with. And finally - theres a new button in the menu --- Directory. There youll find Bill the troll, whose name is about to be changed by the latest competitions. Add yourself to his friends list and you become a member of the directory --- the details are explained lower down the page. You can then choose a route through the directory / address book; NPCs or user families in a variety of different orders. Shake paws your way! Select what you want to do and how many icons you want to handle at once, click the up arrow and the page will pump what you want into the toolbar. You can then finish off the contents before returning to the directory for the next batch - the directory page will REMEMBER what the next batch is, and invite you to load it. Or you can change your mind and go through another section. The net effect of all this is to enable you to shake paws with other users faster and simpler than any other social game has ever enabled its users to do anything at any time, to the best of my knowledge, and as far as I can see there is no other way of doing it which can be made faster and simpler without doing the clicking for you; but then we would no longer have a social game. And finally -- the result is that this app is now technically capable of holding a hunt where you never click on the same page twice. All that it needs is enough users - I think about 2000 would make a hunt viable - hunt prizes, and hunt software. Weve GOT hunt prizes already prepared. And I bet I can create hunt software faster than you can get me 2000 users. Do you want to race me? :D There is a lot of new software, and there are bound to be bugs and things which need further explanation or which invite questions. The main thing is to try it all out; click things, and see what happens. Then tell me if it isnt what you expected. I wanted to post this today, because it is the anniversary of something sad. Today is the third anniversary of SGN abandoning fluff to its fate. News went out from Facebook to developers in about May 2011 that from 1st October, Facebook would make further requirements of developers in order for their apps to operate on Facebook. Some developers chose to announce the end without saying why and gave their users time to adapt; above all, not to throw their money away on a doomed app. Some did not. But every one of them knew that by September 30th, they had to shape up or ship out. SGN abandoned fluff on September 29th. The 30th was a Saturday. Draw your own conclusions. Ill just keep on getting a new game to you as fast as I can and as well as I can.
