THE MUSIC TRUTH. Music is sturdy, strong, rough and tough. Band, ensemble, choir, instrument and singing are all very demanding and have a kind of rigour not matchable. Many people take on music, and so they enter so they leave. Most persons who started to learn an instrument never complete. Music learning can pitch you and toss you and disturb your vestibular, but if you are to succeed you got to stay with it, like anything else. Only persons who love it should take it on. And notice my phrase "take it on" because so you take it on, so it takes you on, and because it beats most people, few people venture into the field. As a result music is in great demand everywhere. My statements above might sound like a turn off, but all the turn ons of the past have not worked, and maybe if persons hear the truth, they will be more prepared to study music. Every body say music is art, and that makes it sound easy, until they join and get a science shock. Its so much maths and science its not funny. Its an extraordinary affair with an almost unsolvable labyrinth which demands consistent and systematic attack with continuously improved drive and persistence. the good news however is - there are methods and approaches that help to make it bearable and easier, and every problem in the teaching learning process has a way to be fixed. The field is lucrative and many can be successful. Come and stay and work.
