THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE has issued a winter storm warning until midnight Saturday for portions of the Hill Country including Kendall, Comal, Bexar, Kerr and Gillespie counties. Total ice accumulations overnight could range from one-tenth to one-quarter inch, but isolated one-half inch amounts are possible for higher elevations. Expect low temperatures in the upper 20s tonight and highs tomorrow only in the low- to mid-30s. Be sure to protect pets and plants and exercise caution if you must drive.
